Radikale Reduktion
Radical Reduction
What remains of a subject when as much information as possible disappears?
In Radical Reduction, people, landscapes and forms are condensed into silhouette, light and a limited tonal range. Details recede, while gesture, contour and spatial relationships become more prominent.
Black and white is not used as an effect, but as a means of concentration. The reduction is not intended to show less, but to make what matters more visible.
As much reality as necessary – as little information as possible.
